Hangzhou, capital of east China’s Zhejiang province got its first QR Code store this week (images below). All the items in the store have a QR Code which allows consumers to pay online. QR Code stores are not new in China, here is a launch from two years ago from Shanghai based online shopping company Yihaodian – More Virtual QR Code Grocery Stores. At the opening of the Hangzhou store analysts claimed that the value of China’s QR Code market will be more than 100 billion Yuan ($16.34 billion) by 2015.
