Norwegian bus company Kolumbus has been rolling out individual QR Codes at bus stops for almost a year, the total so far is 4,500 stops. As in Japan and Seoul, Korea scanning the QR Code provides realtime information on bus arrival/departure times. What’s interesting about the Kolumbus implementation is that they have additionally made their QR Codes available through the free Tales Of Things app, so now while waiting at the bus stop as well as timetable information passengers can leave behind stories, messages and memories. Not only that but each time a bus stop is scanned the app tweets that a new story, message or memory has been left at that particular stop on the Tales of Things website. Thanks to Andy Hudson-Smith for the heads-up.
