Tesco’s is following up last October’s small scale QR Code “Call of Duty – Black Ops” pre-order campaign with a much bigger instore QR Code campaign for Nintendo 3DS console pre-orders. Posters (image below) showing the Nintendo DS Top 40 Chart with a QR Code at the bottom will appear in every store from tomorrow. The code resolves to the Tesco direct mobile site where users can place their order, for delivery on 25th March 2011. Unlike the previous campaign the bit.ly url shortener is not used so it is not possible to view the campaign statistics. Thanks to Tesco’s Nick Lansley for the heads-up.
