Social QR Codes

Rio Akasaka, Master’s student at Stanford and a hackathon veteran has just launched justnear.me a content delivery platform that lets people discover geographically relevant social data through QR Codes (video below). Users can create, distribute and monitor each of their time and location-sensitive QR Codes which allow people to interact with their physical surroundings by leaving notes behind. Rio sees justnear.me being used at museums, conferences, classes, meetings, mixers, campus events, cafes and scavenger hunts.
