QR Codes Everywhere in Austin, Texas

This year’s SXSWeek, the eleven days that include SXSW Interactive, SXSW Film, and SXSW Music, takes place in Austin, Texas, from March 10-21. Attendee’s badges will have a photo and a QR Code that decodes to a personal page where delegates can leave a message or access contact information. To coincide with the event Marqr is holding a QR Code scavenger hunt with QR Codes located around the city. Marqr is an experimental media project created by Rachel Youens founder of AustinStyleWatch.com.

  1. Thanks for the coverage! I’m adding more marqrs around the city, hoping to get up to about 20 to 25. We’re still looking for more prize contributions, doesn’t have to be anything big, but it’s a great promo opportunity. Keep track of the project at @marqratx
