QR Code Helps Save a Forest

CASA with almost 500 home furnishings and design stores in seven European countries has teamed up with the Belgium arm of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The FSC is an international not-for-profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. Casa has put a QR Code on every wooden product in their stores and users scanning the code can access details about which forest the wood came from and other information relating to sustainability (explanatory video below).

However as an aside, I wonder if knowing where it came from might convince me not to buy it.
