Announced today a Pitney Bowes survey into current levels of QR Code usage across Europe and the U.S. has produced some interesting findings. The survey of 2,000 consumers in the US and 1,000 in France, Germany, the UK respectively shows that on average, across US, UK, France and Germany 15% of people have used a QR code.
On average, among the countries studied, QR Codes have been used by 27% of 18-34 year-olds. However, a look at the figures shows that usage is not confined to the younger members of this age bracket. There is also high usage amongst 25-34 year olds in each country.
The survey also shows on average most QR code scanning is from print applications such as magazines (15%), posters (13%) and mail (13%).
