QR Code Stores Appear In Germany

A German drugstore Budnikowsky is trialing QR Code poster shops at eleven busy railway stations around the country. The posters contain images on virtual shelves of the Aliqua brand of natural cosmetics (images below) with the QR Codes resolving to the specific items on their e-commerce mobile site. Budnikowsky say they got the idea from the recent QR Code store in Korea and want to develop the concept in Germany.

  1. This is a great concept and can see this growing further. However, why use QR Codes when image discovery will achieve the same goal, remove ugly QR Codes from the poster and leave more space for the product images
