Yiying Lu is no stranger to 2d-code readers with her designer QR Codes and paintings of QR Coded carnivorous plants as headwear. Now she has turned her attention to a poster of the periodic table where each element has it’s own QR Code resolving to the relevant Wikipedia page. As Yiying says, a smart kid with a smart phone and the poster can learn the fundamentals of chemistry. She has made the full size version available under a Creative Commons License for non-commercial use and it can be downloaded from her website here (3.3MB PDF). Nice idea. The codes resolve to the Wikipedia page for the element. Might have been an idea to have them resolve to the marvellous videos here by Nottingham University http://www.periodicvideos.com/
