UK Election QR Code

QR Codes have been used in political campaign posters before but as far as I know Martin Tod, the prospective Liberal MP for Winchester, is the only one using them in the upcoming UK General Election. The QR Code on his poster (image below) resolves to his website. Tech savvy Martin Tod was a founder member of the Open Rights Group and opposed the recent Digital Economy Act so if you live in his constituency give him your vote!

  1. Nice mobile website.

I think it would be an interesting idea if this linked to a poll where constituents could vote on an idea (not formally of course). Just for a biased view of polling of public opinion. Wonder if anyone has tried that.

  2. The most awesome thing is, Martin Tod got this printed within 5 days of the suggestion! There’s commitment for you!

Here’s a picture of me holding a stack of these at the Lib Dems office in Winchester yesterday http://twitpic.com/1guh44
