QR Codes Or Linear Barcodes On The Wall?

Ocado the British Internet retailer specializing in groceries has created a pop-up barcode shopping wall in the windows of an empty store in central London (image below). Instead of using a QR Code they are using the standard linear EAN-13 product code. If you scan the barcode from within the Ocado app the item can be added to your shopping basket however if you scan with a conventional barcode scanner like ZXing you have the option to click on Google Shopper (image bottom right) and with any luck find the product cheaper elsewhere!
