QR Code #DeadTweet Campaign

Reporters Without Borders are not new to QR Codes having used them in their talking heads campaign last year. Now they are using a QR Code in their #DeadTweet press and poster campaign (image below) to raise awareness of the 38 citizen journalists and media workers who have been killed by the Assad government in Syria since March last year. The QR Code resolves via a bit.ly URL to a series of tweets (mobile only) that bring home the bravery of citizen journalist in keeping the world informed in areas of great personal danger.
