The November 12th edition of the popular American crime drama CSI: NY (CSI stands for Crime Scene Investigation) features a QR Code as a vital clue in the solution of a murder. The video clip below shows how the QR Code features in the mystery.

What a great example of how awareness of a product and it’s impact can be driven outside of the usual marketing dynamic. The only oversight would have been an added line in the script, e.g. “They’re quite popular in Japan.”. I’m curious as to which writer got that plot wrinkle into the script. Great stuff.
