The new NOW Washington DC Guide quarterly magazine for business travelers, tourists and locals is making extensive use of QR Codes. The Winter 2011 inaugural issue uses QR Codes to provide additional content, information and special offers such as a 25% off coupon for the Home and Garden Show in March (image below). The free guide will be available at nearly 200 locations in and around Washington and is also available in digital format online including mobile devices. The publishers Essential Media Partners, are hoping to bridge the gap between traditional print media and social media marketing.
