Japanese ID Card will have QR Code
Everyone who lives in Japan has to have a resident id card and the new ones will not only have an IC chip and a magnetic stripe but also a QR Code. According to the proposed specification the QR Code will include the information printed on the card; expiry date, name, gender, address, issuer (local government office) and the phone number of the issuer.
