Last year’s QR Code gift tags from J. C. Penney have been taken to a new level in Brazil by Diageo the world’s largest producer of spirits. For Father’s Day special bottles of Johnnie Walker, White Horse and Old Parr whisky were given QR Code labels. When sons and daughters purchased a bottle for their dad they could scan the QR Code on the bottle and personalize a film template by adding a photo and a personal message (video below). Their father could then view the film on Father’s Day by scanning the same QR Code. Diageo’s used EVRYTHNG Engine technology to develop the marketing platform.
