Largest QR Code in the World?

Largest QR Code in the world under construction

Audi is commemorating 100 years of car manufacturing in the German state of Saxony this year. As part of the celebrations the 130 staff of Audi Japan produced a QR Code of 159 square metres, which they claim is the largest in the world (if you know different please leave an appropriate comment!). Each member of staff held a panel over their head and the completed code resolved to a mobile site with the flash animation below displayed.

  1. Sorry Audi - the Hello World project is bigger (just - it’s 160m sq) created by Bernd Hopfengärtner in May 2006: http://hello.w0r1d.net/

  2. @Andy The Hello World code appears to be Datamatrix, so it looks like Audi keeps the record for the largest QR Code.
