2d Codes Turn Your Mobile into a Credit Card
MTag have announced MeePass which uses an encrypted 2d barcode to secure your identity on your mobile device. Payment transactions, loyalty programmes, ticketing etc., can all be completed securely without a connection. Users register a PIN which is not stored on the mobile so if the device is lost or stolen it cannot be used for fraudulent transactions.
